Clockwise undulating loop south and west of Rouse Hill. Mostly on paths, 22km being parkland paths scattered through nine suburbs. No major climbs, but some short sharp pinches. Suburbs encountered include: Rouse Hill, Beaumont Hills, Kellyville, Norwest, Bella Vista, Toongabbie, Seven Hills, Lalor Park, Kings Langley, Acacia Gardens, Parklea, The Ponds. Standard start is Rouse Hill Metro Station. Alternative stations near route, for starting (or rail-bail), are: Metro: Hills Showground, Norwest, Tallawong Old-rail: Toongabbie, Seven Hills, Marayong There are some tight blind bends on paths, requiring concentration and good bike-handling. Particularly near Toongabbie Creek (@ 13km to 17km), there are some sharp pinches after blind bends, requiring fast gear-changing. The route could be ridden in reverse direction, a-c. But that would mean more and longer pinches aside Toongabbie Creek.
Possible loo stops, shown on map, are at start/end (station) and after 7km, 23km, and 36km. Possible coffee stops, shown on map, are at start/end, 24km (Seven Hills) and 36km (The Ponds).
