Start at Fairmount Cct, Glenwood (usual M7 start)
Note fast pace, cancelled if raining
Long ride with continuous cycling and minimal stops.
This is an out and back route, with a surprising number of climbs although nothing steep. Shared path all the way with the exception of on road travelling into Luddenham from The Northern Road (2km)
Riders should be comfortable with continuous riding at >25 km/h with few regroups – Wylde MTB 32Km (water & toilet stop), Luddenham Coffee stop @ half distance. On the return Wylde and/or M4 bubbler stop.
2 Bidons is recommended. Weekends need to be careful due to increased users of shared path combined with blind corners
Only convenient bailout option is Rooty Hill train - early and late in the ride. Sometime in the future the Metro will be available at the new Airport. Riders need to be self-sufficient with tools, spares and bike maintenance skills (dropped chain, puncture etc)
Coffee at Gemma-Lee’s Cafe.
